When Sunflower was a little bud
And sat outside to play
He followed, with his face, the sun
Until it dipped away.

As he grew older, all a-flower,
He soon changed his gaze
And kept his face turned to the spot
The sun was due to blaze.

Finally, when it was no more
His day in the sun
The face that launched a thousand blooms
A bird feeder had become.

  1. We adore sunflowers in our home, and if I had a son his name would be Vincent. And, your sunflowers are the "fun flowers" of choice. Thanks!
