Famous Tuxedo Cats in History

It is said that William Shakespeare had a tuxedo kitty...

...as did Beethoven.

President Bill Clinton's cat Socks was a tuxedo cat.

And of course, there's my George...

... and Gracie!

But there have been many legendary tuxedos.  There's Sylvester...

...and Figaro, the cat from Gepetto's workshop in Pinocchio.

And don't forget Felix the Cat, with his bag of tricks!

For a singing and dancing tuxedo, you won't find finer than Mr. Mistoffelees.

These next tuxedo kitties require no litter box or hairball clean-up (though I'd hope the same for Mr. Mistoffelees).

Available in my etsy and eBay shops.

  1. Oh my...you have captured the mischievous, funny and sometimes slightly criminal look of the tuxedo kitty. "Who me? I didn't do it". We do love them and they make life interesting. Yours are the best! Thanks

  2. Well, you gotta love these little guys, who love Beethoven and Shakespeare, and do a great imitation of Groucho Marx. They are really so cute!

  3. I used to have a tuxedo family cat. It was the smartest cat I know. He would watch us turn the door knob, and when he needed to go outside, he would jump up and grab the knob with his paws. When he wants to be let in, but he is not strong enough to open a spring loaded door, he would open it a little and let go, so that it creates a noise to call our attention. Unlike many cats, he did not meow regularly, but he did purr with the best of them.
