Maneki Nekos Meet Punxsutawney Phil

Groundhog Day (Pennsylvania German: Grundsaudaag, Murmeltiertag) is a day celebrated on February 2. According to legend, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early; if it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will continue for six more weeks.

But suppose one year the groundhogs went on strike?

What if they demanded better working conditions?

What is they started making demands?

Then it's Maneki Nekos to the rescue!

Yes.  A specially trained team of Maneki Nekos has been trained to take to the burrows.

Trained in underground habitation, they await deployment.  They vow to emerge on February 2nd...

...check for shadows...

... and return to their burrows.

So you can stop worrying.  They've got it under control.

They can be found in my etsy shop.  You might want to stock up.  ;0)
