Have a Greeny Halloweeny

Frankenstein's green.
Dracula's blue.
Can ghosts be white
If you see them clear through?

Photobucket

Most jack o' lanterns
Are first pumpkins orange.
As pump-lets they're green,
Then develop some more tinge.

Photobucket

Black owls are black.
So are black bats.
But witches on broomsticks
Want black balanced cats.

Spiders are green
And yellow and brown.
The black and bright red one's
One of great renown.

Photobucket

Candy corn's orange
And yellow and white
And tastes pretty awful
'Til Halloween night.

Witches display
In a whole range of hues.
Being bewtitching
Each witch gets to choose.

Photobucket

Skeleton bones:
Shades of gray, yellow, white.
Some even show as
Glow-in-the-dark-night.

This Halloween bracelet
Was made multi-color
Because if it weren't
It would be multi-duller.

Halloween: The Black and White Film Classic

Long before the Jasons and Halloween 3s, there were the classic horror films: Frankenstein, Dracula, The Werewolf, The Mummy... And all those were in glorious Black and White.

The characters on this bracelet come from a lesser-known Black and White classic horror film: Dance Hall of the Darned.  Directed by G. Goyle, the film followed the lives of a cast of bats, skeletons, black cats, ghosts, spiders, scarecrows, jack o' lanterns, witches, and a lone owl, all of whom were the last chosen as partners during dancing class.

Photobucket

After spending too much time in their wooden chairs, feeling like wallflowers, they rose up to create their own dance steps: the Batusi, the Spider Shake, Skeleton Salsa, the Black Cat Bump, the Witchy Watusi, the Jack o' Lantern Jerk, and an Owl-ish version of YMCA.

Photobucket

They took their dance act on the road, appearing after hours at such venues as The Crypt, Gus' Graveyard, and The Vindow Viper Room.

It became the feel-good B&W Halloween film of all time, thus losing any large following it might built over time.

Bid now and you'll get:

An entire dance troupe of skeletons, skulls, and bones

Photobucket

1.  Choose pumpkins visely.  Assorted sizes vork nicely for decoration purposes.  Leave some uncut for pie, vhich goes nicely with Type O Cocktails.

Photobucket

2.  Encourage the spiders to start spinning vebs.  If you plan ahead, you can use some of those vebs as seating for your guests.

Photobucket

3.  Choosing a DJ who is also a dance instructor vill get your guests moving.

Photobucket

4.  Skulls are useful for flower arrangements.  Don't forget the eye sockets!

Photobucket

5.  Have a hat rack or closet where guests can leave unvanted pieces of their costumes.  Some guests vork vell as hat racks.

Photobucket

6.  Your guest list should include both the living and the departed.  A quick bite from Vladimir can change one into another.

Photobucket

7.  Delegate, delegate, delegate.  Have a friend vith a special potion recipe?  Encourage her to vhip some up.

Photobucket

8.  Worried about guests leaving plates of food around?  Make sure you invite some hungry cats to take care of those annoying leftovers.

Photobucket

9.  Don't fuss over lighting.  Most of your guests vill prefer low-light situations.
