Last week I was pondering a way to help Japan, and created maneki Nekos for Japan ~ good fortune kitty earrings whose proceeds would benefit various agencies aiding Japan. The traditional Japanese Lucky Cats did their job. So far, together, we raised $810 for various relief organizations: Red Cross, Save the Children, The International Medical Corp., the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund, the Salvation Army, MercyCorps, Peace Winds Japan, Doctors Without Borders, Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support, and World Vets
There are many maneki neko earrings available here on the blog. The entire $30 purchase price goes to your chosen charity. I only ask for a $3.50 shipping/handling fee to cover some of my costs.
This week, in addition, I will be unveiling a maneki neko bracelet or necklace each day for those wanting to spend more for the charity of their choice. Payment goes to the charity as soon as you pay, and I send proof of the contribution to the buyer.
These items are handmade and unique, absolutely one-of-a-kind. I have included a Buy It Now button make the process simpler. If you wish to pay using an alternate method, simply contact me via this blog or my FaceBook page. Please help spread the word.

PORCELAIN, SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL, ARTISAN LAMPWORK GLASS,CZECH FIRE POLISH CRYSTALS AND PRESSED GLASS
a charmed necklace
This bright white and red maneki neko, the good fortune kitty, has its right paw raised, to bring wealth to the wearer. On his tummy he holds a tablet with symbols of fortune.
He hangs from a red and white beaded choker, approximately 20" in length, strung with Czech glass flowers, hearts, and crystals and artisan lampwork beads from the J Moore Studios.
The neko pendant is approximately 1" in length. This choker-style necklace closes with a sterling lobster clasp. It is strung on Beadalon.
The cost for the necklace is $60, with free shipping and handling. $50 of that goes to the charity of your choice; the balance helps cover shipping, handling, and some of the materials.
This necklace is handmade and unique. There is no other like it in the world. If it speaks to you, click the button. If not, please spread the word.
Thank you for your help and support.
